Eldorado - Normal Route

Overview:

This route begins at the Eldorado climbers trail off Cascade River Road. The crux of the approach is crossing the Cascade River, which is different each year. After crossing the river via log crossing, you’ll ascend a steep forest until you reach a boulder field. Above the boulder field, we’ll continue ascending until we reach and cross a ridge. After crossing the ridge, you’ll ascend snow slopes until the Eldorado glacier is reached. Above the Eldorado glacier, we’ll gain the east ridge and Inspiration glacier until the knife edge summit ridge is reached. The knife edge ridge is an exciting end to this climb to reach the summit of one of the most beautiful perches in the North Cascades!
