Shukan - Sulphide Glacier
Overview:
This route begins from the south side of Shuksan, just off of Baker Lake. We begin by ascending through a forest and then to the gentle slopes of the Sulphide Glacier. Eventually, the summit pyramid is reached and the team will climb steep snow/ice or a 4th class scramble to the summit. Enjoy marvelous views of the North Cascades and Baker from the lofty summit pyramid!

May - August, conditions dependent

14 miles and 6500’ of elevation gain.
Itinerary:
The team’s start time will largely depend on the fitness level of the members. Generally, we aim for a start time around 3AM and hope to return by 4PM that same day!
Interested in skiing off a major summit?
With our services, clients who possess strong skiing abilities have the option to ski the sulphide glacier of Shuksan. We will carry your skis and boots to the bottom of the summit block if you do not have an alpine touring set-up. With this option, you have the ability to enjoy a blissful ski descent of a major cascade peak.
