Glacier Peak - Normal Route

Overview:

Starting from the North Fork Sauk River trail, travel through beautiful old growth forest for nearly 9 miles to White Pass. At white pass, you will travel through glacier basin until you reach the col between the Gerdine and Cool glaciers, where we will rope up for glacier travel. Ascend the Suiattle and Cool glacier to the saddle between Disappointment Peak and Glacier peak and then climb moderate snow or ash slopes to the summit of Glacier Peak. Enjoy your views from Washington’s most remote major volcano. Descent is via the same route. This route is non-technical but requires glacier travel and can have crevasse risk. This route is extremely challenging from a cardiovascular standpoint and requires a high degree of fitness. This climb is an ultramarathon with glacier travel type adventure!
